Dining

A culinary heritage rooted in the Gulf. In the 1950s, Port Isabel was internationally recognized as the “Shrimping Capital of the World.” That legacy lives on through a thriving tide-to-table restaurant scene where fresh Gulf seafood goes from the water to your plate in hours.

Joe's Oyster Bar

Port Isabel

No-frills, local-approved destination for authentic, fresh Gulf Coast seafood. A staple for decades.

Dirty Al's Pelican Station

Port Isabel

Elevated seafood and steaks at the historic site of the original Rio Grande Railroad, with scenic views of the Queen Isabella Causeway.

Pirate's Landing

Port Isabel

Waterfront dining with a unique "catch and cook" service — bring your fresh catch and they'll prepare it for you.

Painted Marlin Grille

South Padre Island

Outdoor decking, live music, and unparalleled sunset views over the Laguna Madre. Ideal for a relaxed evening out.

Louie's Backyard

South Padre Island

Bayside dining with panoramic water views. A South Padre institution for seafood and cocktails.

Senor Donkey

South Padre Island

Vibrant Tex-Mex cantina with enormous breakfast tacos, large portions, and a family-friendly atmosphere.

Gabriella's Italian Grill

South Padre Island

Brick-oven pizza and fresh pasta — a welcome culinary contrast to the dominant seafood and Tex-Mex scene.
